French Army to replace the FAMAS with the HK416

So word on the streets is that the French Army has opted to replace the aging FAMAS with a model of the H&K 416; what model we do not know but as soon as it becomes known rest assured I shall endevour to give you all the facts.

Again this could all be smoke and mirrors but its something to get the discussions going.

My own thoughts I would of imagined the French Army adopting the Belgium made SCAR-L/H weapons system based on the amount of Belgium developed weapons they already have in use in various sectors of France.

Greetings

For many many years I have been interested in the development of Military Technology but never did I contemplate writing about it. Now I have decided to set up a blog im going to see if I can delve into the ever devloping world of weapons, defensive systems and much more.

Military Technology today is approaching the likes of which was only rendered on screen in Science Fiction media but we already have Thermal Image Goggles, Laser Guided Missiles attached to UAV's (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) and Rail Guns; the likes of which were only dreamed about in video games.

Ill be trying to go undercover to bring you some snippets of new technology and possibly look back on the evolution of older weapons systems into the current state they are today.
